Rapid wetting action in cold mercerizing process
Cotton fibres tend to shrink in high concentrated caustic solutions; PRENIM MRC speed up bath penetration in cold conditions allowing deeper and more uniform caustifying action. In machines with short immersion time it is absolutely necessary to use the proper product concentration to reach the best results. Figures below show the fiber shrinkage variation in a solutions of NaOH 28??B?? with different immersion times and product concentrations.
